What it means
Most deployments finish within a few minutes. Sometimes one doesn’t, and the site stays on Deploying or Pending. This usually means the setup didn’t complete. Nothing is running yet, and waiting longer won’t help.
Fix it yourself
- Open the site from your dashboard.
- Click Cancel & retry. It appears once a deployment has been stuck for about 10 minutes.
- Start a fresh deployment from the same page.
No Cancel & retry button yet? Then the deployment is still working. Give it a few more minutes and refresh the page.
What stays the same
Cancelling only stops the deployment that didn’t finish. Your domain, your database, any paid add-ons and your plan are not affected, and deploying again doesn’t create a new charge.
Automatic clean-up
We also check for deployments that didn’t finish and cancel them automatically, usually within about 15 minutes. You’ll get a notification, and the site page will offer to deploy again.
Still not finishing
If a fresh deployment still doesn’t finish after two tries, open a ticket with your site name and our team will take it from there.
