What is the best hosting for Lovable apps?
There is no single best host: a Lovable app that is only a frontend is cheapest on a static host, while an app with a Supabase database, sign-in users and uploaded files is best on a host that runs the app and the database together. Lovable's own hosting is the least work and costs a paid plan; Netlify and Cloudflare Pages are free or cheap for static output but cannot run a server; Hostinger is a general host with Lovable tutorials; Hostwares is the pick when the app needs its own Supabase and an AI agent that operates it. The list below ranks each by the job it is good at and says where it is weaker, with prices checked on the date shown.
Which one, for what
| If you have | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A landing page or a frontend with no data of its own | Cloudflare Pages or Netlify | Static output, free tier, custom domain on the free plan; nothing to run. |
| You want to stay inside Lovable and never touch hosting | Lovable hosting | Publish is one button; a paid plan unlocks the custom domain. |
| An app with Supabase, users and files, on your own hosting | Hostwares | Frontend pack plus a dedicated Supabase instance, the migration tool moves the data, and HW runs it afterwards. |
| You already pay for a general host and want everything in one account | Hostinger | Node and static hosting with Lovable tutorials; you handle the database elsewhere. |
| A server-rendered (TanStack Start) Lovable app | Hostwares or Lovable hosting | Both run code; a static host cannot serve it. |
The options, ranked by the job
1.Hostwaresus
from $1/mo for the app; from $5/mo for a dedicated Supabase
Best for: An app with Supabase data, users and files that you want on hosting you own, with an AI agent that deploys, reads logs and fixes it. Flat packs, no seats, nothing metered.
Weaker when: No free tier. For a plain static site the static hosts below cost nothing; and Lovable's own Publish is still less work.
2.Lovable hosting
Pro plan $25/mo (custom domains on paid plans)
Best for: Staying entirely inside Lovable. Publish is one click and the custom domain is set in Project → Settings → Domains.
Weaker when: The domain needs a paid plan; new apps on the free plan have a request limit; environment variables and the Supabase project stay Lovable's to manage.

3.Cloudflare Pages
free tier; Workers paid plan $5/mo for functions
Best for: A static Vite build with a custom domain at no cost, on a global edge.
Weaker when: Static only; a server-rendered Lovable app or anything with a backend needs more. Cloudflare now points new projects at Workers rather than Pages.

4.Netlify
free tier; Personal $9/mo; Pro $20/mo (credit-based)
Best for: A static Lovable build with deploy previews and form handling; custom domain and SSL on the free plan.
Weaker when: Credit-based billing since 2025 can surprise a busy site; no database of its own; pricing changed again in 2026.

5.Vercel
Hobby free (non-commercial); Pro $20 per seat/mo
Best for: A Lovable app you also edit in v0 or a Next.js-heavy team that already lives on Vercel.
Weaker when: Commercial use needs Pro and seats; bandwidth past the included quota is metered; no Supabase of its own.

6.Hostinger
VPS KVM 1 from $6.49/mo promotional, renews higher
Best for: People who already have a Hostinger account and want the Lovable app alongside their other sites, with a browser terminal on the VPS plans.
Weaker when: You set up Node, the reverse proxy and the database yourself on a VPS, and the renewal price is well above the promotional one.

Step by step
- 1
Work out which kind of Lovable app you have
Open the project in Lovable. If it has a Supabase project attached (tables, auth, storage) it is an app with data; if not, it is a frontend. Projects created from May 2026 onward render on the server (TanStack Start) and need a host that runs code; older projects are Vite builds that can live on a static host.
- 2
Pick from the matrix
Frontend only: a static host, free. Stay in Lovable: a paid Lovable plan. App with data on your own hosting: a pack plus a dedicated Supabase. The ranked list under the matrix says what each option is weak at, so read the caveat before the price.
- 3
Connect GitHub and deploy
Every option except Lovable hosting deploys from the GitHub repository Lovable keeps in sync. On Hostwares: Dashboard → Deployments → New, pick the repository and a pack; the build is detected and the order creates an invoice, with the build starting once it is paid.
- 4
Move the data if there is any
Dashboard → Supabase → New for a dedicated Supabase project, then the migration tool on your computer backs up tables, rows, functions, rules, users and files from Lovable and the Restore tab loads them (up to 200 MB in the dashboard; larger through a ticket). Set the VITE_SUPABASE_* variables on the Environment tab and the Auth redirect URLs to the new address.
- 5
Attach the domain
Domains tab on the site, create the record it shows, and the certificate is issued once DNS resolves. On a static host the equivalent is in the project's domain settings; on Lovable it is Project → Settings → Domains.
What it costs
- Hostwares: a Frontend pack from $1/mo; a dedicated Supabase pack from $5/mo; both flat for the term.
- The other options' prices are in the list, each with the date it was checked.
App
$1/mo
Starter Frontend pack, 1 vCPU / 1 GB RAM / 10 GB
Database, users and files
$5/mo
Smallest dedicated Supabase pack; several projects fit on one
Questions
Is Lovable's own hosting good enough?+
For most apps, yes, and it is the least work. The reasons people leave are the paid plan for a custom domain, wanting their own environment variables and Supabase project, and wanting a flat hosting price separate from Lovable credits.
Can I host a Lovable app for free?+
A static Lovable build, yes: Cloudflare Pages and Netlify have free tiers with a custom domain. An app with a database needs somewhere to run Supabase, which is not free anywhere once you leave Supabase's own free tier.
Which host runs the newer server-rendered Lovable apps?+
Any host that runs code: Lovable hosting, Hostwares packs, Vercel. Static hosts cannot serve them.
Where is Hostwares not the best choice?+
A plain static site, where a free static host costs nothing, and a team that wants to stay entirely inside Lovable. Hostwares earns its place when the app has data and you want one flat bill and an AI agent to run it.
Does moving hosts mean leaving the Lovable editor?+
No. Every option in the list deploys from the GitHub repository Lovable keeps in sync; you keep editing in Lovable.
How were the prices checked?+
Each entry carries the date it was checked and a link to the provider's pricing page. Hostwares prices are read live from the pack table, so they are never out of date on this page.
